An explanation in brief, revised from 2015:
How can one be successful as a time travel experimenter with no technology but the internet to use to find time travelers that can make the experiment successful before it was created?
In 2014 the answer was this meager website that humbly asked for help from a "time apart." Hope was necessary, and truth prevailed in November 2014. In 2016 this experiment documented physical evidence of a traveler, and an adventure began. I am James Gray Mason, and totally unqualified in quantum mechanics.

The Idea for Time Travel Wish:

Cause and Effect. A simple solution. A way out. Reach the target. But who?
During the summer of 2014 I overheard a science news snippet. “We may be living in a hologram.” Bizarre as it seemed I accepted it. The math, I was sure was too complex for me to be honestly critical of it without being a “complete asshole.”
In November, around the 25th, of 2014 I thought of a long remembered scheme of mine. I had considered that information made permanent might be used to make contact with someone in our past time, from the future. From a time when our information has lasted. Where and when we did not have paper composed of old biologically bound carbon. Paper of the electron. Digital information that does not rot.
It was 1998 when this idea first occurred to me. With a friend named Roger I shared an apartment with, I had been watching Star Trek the Next Generation. The episode was called Cause and Effect. The senior staff of the Enterprise was experiencing a causality loop. In science fiction time travel hypothesis; They were trapped in a never ending loop of spacetime. It was an anomaly of spacetime the great ship had ventured into without the benefit of sensors to tell the traveling computer what was occurring to them. The day continued over and over. Events repeating with precision. But this anomaly of space gave the writers an out, as all great science fiction works must do or there would be only a sad and hanging unsatisfying conclusion to the many stories of the genre. The spacetime anomaly leaked information into the proceeding timelines that were seemingly repetitious. The information leaked over into the next repetition of the same day was deja vu, first as purely the emotional memory, then later as recollection of specific details of events. Eventually, after several repeats of the seemingly normal day on board, officers began to realize they knew what specifically was going to happen next. With computer generated graphics the chief engineer and the artificial humanoid Data had assembled a working hypothesis. They concluded with all best knowledge they were caught in a loop of spacetime.
The writers gave them a second escape, another way out. A way to communicate forward into the next occurence of their experiences in the next loop of repeating experiences. Apparently Data had within his “positronic brain,” a spacetime stable data storage device. By matching the measurable level of “chromiton emissions” of the anomaly the crew had determined that a rather simple pulsation of electrons could be sent “ahead,” of the ship, to reach Data’s spacetime stable apparatus in the next repetition. It was a simple set of pulsations using old Earth Morse code that saved them all and gave them a way out of an impending collision with another starship, which always ended their experience, that allowed them to chose one choice of two in a dilemma to veer the ship's navigation to the proper choice and allow them to break the causality. Effectually allowing the Enterprise to continue its journey and proceed through a normal and flowing direction of spacetime.

After the episode I turned to my friend and said something to the effect:
“You know something? What if one of the internet companies could still exist in the future?”
If Roger had replied instead of the oddly puzzled face he showed me that night, he would have said “What the fuck?”
Internet service companies were opening and shutting down sometimes within one year’s time. No one had any confidence of them lasting. The world was still very skeptical of digital storage. I was using a local internet service provider called Redshift, in Monterey, California. I remember worrying about their survivability in that time. I remember wanting to advertise for them on my personal websites. It was a time of uncertainty of the lasting potential of digital information.
I had already made a few first of their kind websites. I had created and maintained the first ever website devoted to the strong regulation of firearms in the United States. For years I was the only person on the new “tube thingy,” (a conservative old Senator had called it from a speech on the floor of the United States congress) to have done so for many years. I took death threats by email on a regular basis. “Watch your back Mason . . “ The emails would say.
I had become the first and only male escort for women to have a World Wide Web page and draw my clients from around the country with a single one page advertisement of my intimate services. James’ Escort Service, 1995 - 1999.

Behind a closet door in a small room (12’x12’) in that second floor apartment, 1 block from the Fishermen’s Wharf, I grew with pride a 6’ tall marijuana plant and had documented it’s growth and full cultivation online. James Grow at Home Marijuana Journal, 1995 - 1997. “You’re going to get busted!” The emails from around the world would tell me. But I never did. The internet was too new. Authorities had no protocol. They just were not looking. I knew this.
In that room was born my pirate radio station; Radio Free Monterey. I built a 25 watt FM mono transmitter. I purchased small equipment. I hooked up Real Video and simulcast the local (very local) FM signal to the world using twinned 56.5 kbps modems. I allowed listeners to see me, see the room, and textually interact with me on Internet Relay Chat. They could request songs from the website and watch me set them up. They could watch Roger and I goof around. Wave hello. They could call me hear the delayed sound of their own voices reaching the entire world.

Quantum entanglement is announced:
In the late months of 2014 I was listening to National Public Radio on an app on my iPhone. I was listening to a show I had been frequenting for many years; Science Friday. This show has been an important method of catching up to the latest scientific discoveries and the mysteries still to be explored in our current time. The show’s production manager, or editor, of the show had chosen to place three stories within one presentation each having to do with quantum entanglement. In the first audio report the reporter visited a physicist at the University of Maryland, in College Park, Maryland, just northeast of the Washington D.C. city border, a place where I grew up near as a boy. He demonstrated the artificial creation of two particles (atoms) separated by a distance that were by all measurements identical that were behaving identically by all known measurement standards of atomic study. In atomic theory this was at this time, previously thought, and tested to be impossible. The first audio report was impressive in its scope of the study of the atom. It represented a breakthrough. Without hesitation the next two stories were leading into the hypothetical. Synthesia was immediately introduced. Biological synthesis of emotion within humans became the story. There was/is not physically detectable theory to tie these these phenomena together. The editor/s and or producer chose to place these stories together.
It is a safe assumption, to me, that the editor and producer of the report/s felt that there may be and so wished to imply this. I found the possibility of the biological melding of the two areas of study inspiring in the implied possibility.
I predict it will be found that the stability of spacetime can be maintained within separated and quantum entangled atoms that are created to exist in two different locations at a distance. Spacetime, at this time in scientific knowledge, cannot be measured in finite terms that would indicate this is true. I predict it will be so. I predict we will measure this.
We know that mechanical and binary driven clocks in satellites orbiting our planet tick slower than the clocks on Earth. We know this an effect of gravity's proximity and therefore strength to those satellites. We do not yet know if the atom’s time, or measurement of the planck (in finite) are experiencing the same difference in spacetime. This measurement will have to be determined prior to this prediction becoming theoretical. It will require clocks composed of quantum entangled particle. If so therefore those particles must be created in density of hard physical matter to be made to emulate the physical, or “classical,” realm of known matter for the first observable measurements to be made. Time will reveal this inevitability. Science will have to reach this point of measurement. I predict we humans will do this. We have to do this to proceed - to create Star Date that can be maintained at tremendous distance.

I do not want this text to become a scientifically complex story. It does not need to be - to be an accounting of my experience in Time Travel Wish. I have found that for what is being determined by myself to be likely a strong indication that Time Travel Wish does represent a first communication from a time in space distant from us, I do not need to fully understand the mathematics in complexity. I do need to understand observed concepts that have been made classical for our understanding and current interpretations of what may be theory - or proven by validation.
With concepts embraced I continued and still continue to embrace the incredible and perceive the possible. In January of 2015 through the month of April, when entertaining that the Inexplicable Background Image may be a first communication from an entirely different time in space, I . .

But this is not a biography of my life. More importantly, now at time time, it is not a story of regrets. This is a story of a small personal weblog and an half hearted attempt at making money, in a scheme based in hope and in confidence of science, technology and in my confidence in humans to defeat any barrier that keeps them from proceeding. This barrier, I predicted with only scant knowledge of physics, would be time itself.
I decided I should, not just entertain the seemingly incredible, but I would attempt to embrace my hope that it was true. My hope would be considered to be an attribute if I was chosen by the invisible team to be the one who is contacted. The single person who is alone who must expose the incredible.
Granted, that in the emotion of hope lays extreme bias. My bias would be an attribute. Bias toward a conclusion is enough to dismiss a juror of any evidence, strong or weak, to be dismissed by others surrounding a project, a trial, or an experiment.
But what of the scientist who can visualize a practical use for a discovery? Should that scientist be dismissed from his or her work due to a need for the practical use?
Time is a natural force, I had only recently learned in 2012. It is not a perception of human’s experiences but a field effected by gravity in known space, in the entire cosmos. It will have to be defeated if Gene Roddenberry’s concept of Star Date were to take place. “Star Date,” a method of communication with other civilizations throughout space reaching vast distances where travel requires patience through time and communication would be utterly ridiculous if all communicating civilizations did not synchronize to a known and agreed upon standard called Star Date.
I’ll pair together two people. A matchmaking website. As a redundancy in expectation that either of two concepts will be true, one person will be have to be far older than the other. Their message does not have to be specific. But the communication device will be the website. A site that maintains its integrity as digital information to last decades and decades, in one digital space, permanent, or as permanent as time will allow. If the website remains intact, through war, through natural disasters, through corporate takeovers, it may just be that device, or a route through time itself, for the younger messenger to then attempt to reach the older before he or she dies; In the time that existed where permanent information existed, in a universe of cosmic information.
Back to the future, again; I’ll need a first test case. I chose someone I loved. A nephew. My youngest nephew Jake. But wait! I could ask him to send me the lottery numbers to be!

It was very hopeful looking. “I might get rich if it is successful! This image of me might just inspire him (Jake) to become a physicist! He might just continue through whatever life hands him on his journey to be through life. I might just help him tremendously by doing this! Long after I’m dead (probably from lung cancer) he’ll send me the lottery numbers! Little Jake, whose parents suspect he may have a behavioral learning disorder, may just succeed because of this weird and grandiose attempt at time travel communication!”

For approximately 6 days I typed directly into the weblog site. I hypothesized wildly in conjecture. I speculated strange timing of “landings,” that may be off by days, months or many years, forward or backward to a time behind either the sender or the receiver. I was trying to include in my text all possibilities. I called the possibilities “predictable factors,” to attempt to conceive of all that may go wrong and all that could aide in the first communications back, to go right. But being able to predict all of it would have been too remarkable. I did not have enough knowledge to predict, even in wild speculation, I could not have determined what seemed to have happened to me and Time Travel Wish incorporated in the coming several months that lasted well into the year 2015 and may still be occurring today.

Our Mission
In the optimism of science and discovery we wait for our technology to evolve and send matter or energy to and from the past of a timeline or into different timelines.
No longer will civilization take two steps forward, and one step back. Always we can move ahead. When only used for positive intent, communicating with our future will bring a better world, with an advancement toward peace and long and healthy lives. There will be no more surprises to set us backward. Full circle accountability and the full ability to take responsibility for ourselves, through time's passages for communication, will take effect.
The first matter to travel backwards, or forwards in time (relativistic forwards/backwards) will likely be a single particle or atom. The greatest moment in our history may be the discovery made by sending a single molecule beyond the barrier of known time and we will then know the window can be opened.
However, later a message, perhaps with an image or a video, then bulk data packets filled with details.
Control over time’s destinations may be poor at first. Early transportation through time may be fraught with errors and learning. Matter and energy may not assemble accurately. Dates and locations of landings may be off wildly or within a wide or narrow range for many attempts. Failures may be frequent at first as targeted recipients may not be in place in time or space to receive a message. A sender may never reach his or her goal due to life’s circumstances, or the absence of the technology, the loss of the message and more unforeseen and likely circumstances.
In an expected to be common scenarios, we foresee practical use for manipulating our futures.
A child sends a message to her dead father pleading to him with crayon on a cardboard sign to immediately quit smoking and drinking and to change his diet and begin to exercise immediately. His date of death ends the message on the sign and she is clearly crying. These kinds of profound messages will initiate different behavior of the recipients in the timeline or begin other timelines. The world has become a better place for families, for loved ones and all others touched by the continued lives.
The surviving family of a cancer victim sends the formula for the cure and it is shared by the world.
Not a single death results from a train derailment because over four-hundred people get phoned from the future, warned, and do not board. This kind of “Time-prevention,” will be common.
Warned three minutes earlier from the future, with an SMS text message, two hundred terrified people in a shopping mall attack and subdue a suicide bomber, who would have certainly killed many of them.
The government of a major city receives an automated warning from a computer at its geological department 72-hours in the future of a major earthquake in occurrence. One minute later another message arrives filled with details, including which buildings would be damaged, who specifically would be killed or hurt or lost, even animal rescue information. Three days are allowed for full evacuation and time-prevention, before citizens watch from afar as their buildings are crumpled in the most viewed earthquake in history that killed no one.
War strategy would eventually be a futile attempt. The dreams of generals and leaders to overpower their opposition using violence will become only that, dreams. We will wonder to ourselves, as nations, why we remain separated. We learn from the future that nations will eventually not be any longer. That Earth will have one government. For those in power, in politics, in corporate leadership, in justice, corruption becomes too transparent to conduct, as messages from the future arrive nearly as fast as plans are hatched in the minds of conspirators.
Famine and drought can be prepared for. Agriculture, livestock, wildlife and refugees can be pre-managed in time-prevention efforts.
Every transportation through time should have an intent toward benefits in life-saving ways. We can plan journeys through time where speculated benefits will outweigh risks. We can influence destiny. We can influence love and romance and reproduction for better relationships and families. We can even influence our futures in economic ways when appropriate. Our justice system will benefit, by allowing future discoveries of injustice to be communicated to our present day legal system. The details of accidents, technology failures, natural or man-made disasters, violent events, can be communicated from our future and then suffering prevented. Our ecology will benefit as evidence of our mistakes, and the consequences of our actions can be communicated to us in full.

Back to the present (?): I set up the a separate page for the senders and receivers to be matched from. It was a rough page. I included a few fast and cheap images and I wondered off to work on some other project. The page is titled Time Travel Wish incorporated. Message number 0000001 Jake to James. It remains today untouched since November of 2014, with only a quotation at it’s top that I added in March of 2015.

After the “senders” page I took a breath. I got a bit excited about the possibility of actually helping young Jake. In my excitement I realized that Jake should never know about the site. I feared that if he did, and I was complete failure in life, he would never be inspired by the site and its existence may not help him at all. I decided to call his father and let him in on the scheme.
“John, what I’m about to tell you is going to seem weird. You have to promise me you’ll never let the kids know about it. Telling them may just ruin the whole thing. It may be very helpful to him later in his life. Perhaps, in a time of personal crisis, you know? Like in a time of personal transition. At a time when he could use some inspiration, and in a time when he can handle something like this.”
His father, John, listened but he did not really listen. He was hearing his crazy stepbrother spouting off about something wild to do with time travel communication. Another crazy scheme of his. Another grandiose gimmick to make money. The phone call lasted about 40 minutes. I am sure he has nearly forgotten that it happened.
Christmas time of 2014 came and went. I did not add anything to the weblog for nearly all of December of that year. I was feeling like it was indeed too grandiose, too wild of an idea. I had defeated myself.
I may have seriously injured a lower vertebrae in my back on that day. I have been using a cane to walk for more than five months. This has meant that I have been physically unable to climb the hill near my home to spend any proper amount of time investigating what I have called Location 2 the Forest Near My Home, for the visible abnormality of nature, seen in photographs of nearly five years ago, witnessed since in that one location, near my home, in recent photography, both still images and two videos, taken on three brief and painful trips to that locality of Old But New Trees in new photographs, surrounding the ancient property border rock wall that requires a hike of about 300 feet, in one direction, up a steep incline to reach. If (speculation, one of many) I did have full use of my right leg and ankle, without extreme pain, I had planned on returning to location 2, after the snow melted and carefully stake the area, bring many older (approximately 5 year older) images that my mother had taken of the rock wall area with me, and bring a witness of credibility greater than my own and validate or invalidate what I suspected was going on. A suspicion I gained and embraced in hope after examining 2 photos of Location 1, in Chester, Connecticut, that I had taken on a camping and hiking trip, the first and second time, approximately 3 weeks separated in time of a tree that leaned very much in the first image, and was noticed (but ignored) as leaning far less on the second visit. All images to indicate this are available in this text. More on locations 1 and 2 later.
I have decided to name this abnormality Vegetation Displacement by Human Choices in Another Timeline for having no better explanation for the webmaster (myself) of a time travel communication experimental scheme to have discovered to have occurred in his vicinity in his recent past, prior to conceiving of an experimental scheme to make money on the hopes and dreams of people, having full confidence in science and humanity's propensity to manipulate barriers of nature that prevent humans from going somewhere.
Back to the past: January, 2014; About one week after seeing The Theory of Everything, I sat down to work on the experimental scheme to make money that was Time Travel Wish. At that time I was thinking about my digital trail on the internet. I was considering that my easy passwords on many accounts online, quite easily will make myself visible in the future to others. I considered that these passwords may be another coincidence that may be crucial in the possible success of the experimental scheme to make money, to be found easily.
I wrote a short article that I titled Albert and God. I made a separate page for the article on the site. I had placed three images from my old days in Washington D.C. as a young photographer, on the site. I felt they were appropriate. For one of the images I placed online I had edited the image. I made my model speak a line in a cartoon speech bubble, to be entertaining. For another of her and the statue, I turned the image on its side and drew bright green lines into a tree in the background to portray my vague and science fiction understanding of what new timelines may look like. On that image of Albert’s statue turned sideways I decided to write a note to Jake, just in case. On the note I congratulated and coined the term “the Team,” for the first of several writing occurrences in the online website, just in case (later a perceived coincidence). I wrote the short essay based upon this vague understanding of what may be if a new timeline is created by scientists of the future. Each of these black and white photos were images of a bronze plated statue of Albert Einstein at a small outdoor park in the rear of the old National Academy of Science building in NW Washington D.C.. Coincidently, I was 19 years old and I did not even realize at the time, in 1979, that I was at the Academy's old building in Washington D.C.. It was the second time I had stopped there to shoot a couple of pictures in about 2 years time. My stepfather Bruce G. had reminded me of this when I presented to him the website in May of 2015, he should know (coincidently) because he was employed by the Academy for more than 15 years in Washington D.C.. at the time the images were shot, at the newer building on Pennsylvania Avenue in NW D.C.. In the two lower of the three images I was (later a coincidence) with a young woman who was fresh from Italy. She barely knew English. We dated for just two days.
I am embarrassed that I do not even recall her name. I was stoned. Being stoned on marijuana was about all that I was interested in during that time. That and photography and of course rock n roll and getting laid. Not necessarily in that order. I had remembered one quotation of Albert’s carved in the granite footing of the bench beneath his right knee and I based the essay on those words. In the short essay I sought to steer away the religious from my website. I have, in my recent past, been an adamant atheist. Adamant is a conservative and polite description for who I was with my regard for all religions on Earth, prior to Time Travel Wish. More on this later.
Some time in the following weeks after placing the image online, the original and unedited copy of the image that was on my hard drive on my pc and had never been placed online, I had noticed for the first time, had a very odd future date as its created date. A coincidence and one of several image dating occurrences I have not been able to explain to this day. More on this odd coincidence and other image dating odd occurrences later.
