The Star Jelly (mysterious blob) Possibility: as an important factor in the success of the experiment, as possibly the only physical material to contain information from the other timeline. By James Gray Mason, Time Travel Wish 1/2016

The  blobs bore no similarities to any other reported “mysteries,” of  the scientifically dismissed as biologic reproductive mass reportings called Star Jelly anywhere else on Earth in all media searchable.

Star Jelly:  Only named so (in this experiment - as a paradox object) for no other apparent name for the clear blobs of very viscous material than to use than the well publicized term for that mass that appears after meteor storms (documented for more than 15o years throughout the world), that had no biologic properties, that were too perfectly round, that appeared on the lawn, at James and his mother’s home in April of 2012.

Definitely NOT one of the many biologic reportings of opaque gelatigenous blobs. I only had 2 perfectly round and perfectly clear, tennis ball sized, blobs. With blades of grass (very weirdly) growing straight-up, undisturbed, through the material. I tested one of them for more than 2 years using all my knowledge from microbiology and biology to determine its responses to several environmental factors.

I will not defend any possibly related occurrences or possibly related objects or images or trees that are displaced from recent photographs past, passed the time when any point of argument of my own can no longer be maintained. Nor will I dismiss these as unlikely to be related to the experiment. I welcome invalidation by anyone. I have invited people near me to do this - but I defend these occurrences because that is the job and so my defence to seek out reasonable invalidation continues. I have been resolved since beginning the experiment to entertain all occurrence or objects found that seemed inexplicable to me. On the main website the use of the letters “PR,” are placed to indicate that an occurrence may be related to the paradox. This continues today.

Piecing together anything in my recent past that was unexplainable became important to me after having realized I had images of 3 weeks time separated of a tree that had been extremely leaning over a creek, that clearly was not 3 weeks later. When in May, 2015 I returned to the Chester campsite, I became more acutely aware that the inexplicable in my past must be entertained and documented. Because technology in our future, if its presence is apparent will very likely seem magical to a people displaced from that future time. A person from 1900 visiting us today would only be able to describe the paradoxical when he returned.

In the target time he was known to walk his dogs on the property, on the groomed lawn of the household where both he and his mother had lived and were documented to spend frequent periods of time outdoors on that lawn. There was a calculable chance that he or his mother would find 2 masses of inexplicable material lying on the groomed grass of that lawn. Since he was known to have moved to that property in 2009 and since his dog’s obituary and his dog’s identification tags with the phone number of his iPhone on those tags, that were buried very near the rock wall at the 3 Acre Woods location were preserved information that was still consistent in 2068 - a plan that had a calculable chance of success for the team to commit to a purpose, was apparent. Failure was unlikely and planned for contingencies of control, to ensure the success of the primary purpose for the breach would be less necessary. The use of brakes and so “going back to the drawing board,” would be less likely.

This was a cellular phone image (above) taken of the most westerly of 2 “blobs,” approximately 12 days after my mother (_____ _______) had spotted them in April (around the end of the first week of that month). I recorded this copy of the image as April 24, 2012, the date I copied the image from my email account onto my home computer. There had been a meteor shower over the northern hemisphere that correlates to the recent time estimated before the blobs were first seen. Because of the many days that had passed the blob appears much more deformed from its original shape. It was tennis ball sized, approximately 2.25 inches in diameter. I posted brief, and a late night, posting of my find on the weblog of a couple in New Zealand who had found “mysterious,” Star Jelly on their farmland. In that post I neglected to write several important details of this material’s first appearance. I thought those details too incredible and it was late at night and I was likely stoned on marijuana when I made that post (link here to New Zealand Star Jelly). The absent detail from that entry was this; They were nearly perfectly clear. The opacity seen in the image above came many days after the initial sighting, perhaps as long as 2 weeks afterward. They were very round, so much so that I could not see a deviation from 360 degrees in their circumference. Within the translucent material blades of fresh cut grass could be seen and they were remarkable to me, in that those blades were undisturbed as if the material had formed around each blade of grass.


The moments after this image was taken, I very difficulty scooped the material of this blob into a clear plastic sandwich bag and placed the material in the very small freezer in the kitchen of the studio apartment I was living in and still live in as of this writing. A second blob laid on the ground, and it was identical to my viewpoint of its shape and consistency and I left it undisturbed. It took more than 4 months for that blob to disintegrate as it shrunk very slowly over that time, until I happened to notice it was gone, one day during that summer of 2012.


I checked all internet documentation for so called “Star Jelly.” I saw dozens of photographs that each looked very much like amphibious egg matter. Not one of those many images showed a very round and very clear substance. Each showed very scattered and unpatterned “droppings,” as if biologically deposited by an amphibian. I allowed my sample to thaw several times. I watched what happened to the ground where I had left the remaining blob to sit and rot. That approximately 10 inch circle of ground grows no grass still today, three years later. The area of ground where I removed my sample began to grow some grass the following year, but very little. With my sample I left about 2 grams out in the open air in my kitchen for several months. There never was one indication of mold growing on the sample. Oxidation did not seem to occur on the surface of the material. I considered this to be a strong indication it has/had no glyco-protein structure.


I found a documentation in 19th century romantic prose where the writer is drawing a comparison to the ethereal state of mystery of his lover, in which the writer very much seems to refer to the post meteor appearance of Star Jelly, rather casually, as if it was a known occurrence. Reviewing an old journal entry; I have found an April, 2012 entry regarding my find of the mysterious blobs on our lawn, very near my home, where I might, or my mother in this case, would have predictably seen the two clear blogs of matter:

April 24, 2012

Star Jelly

The three paragraphs below I posted to the blog of a New Zealand couple who had found several, and experienced some local fame from the experience:

"We had two strange balls of gelatinous goo/texture, transparent with a whitish center, fall on our yard today. Each about the size of a half of a tennis ball. Really weird stuff. they fell about 15 ft apart. They do not seem to have flattened. They seemed cold when I first found them. They fell with such force that they enveloped the dirt and grass into them. Slippery. Difficult to get a sample into a jar. I think it's extraterrestrial. A waste product from interstellar travel from beings from the Gelatinous Goo planet!

The white material in their centers was of a different texture. Tiny balls of white material. They looked very similar to the small white clumps that Aspertame/Nutrasweet artificial sweetener that will sometimes form in our tea cups and in our bowels. I speculate that indigestible little white clumps that would adhere to an intestinal tract might cause a gelatinous goo forming around them, in an immune response. Intestinal mucous perhaps? 

They also look exactly like your photos. I was relieved to seem them, now the world will see I'm sane about this!"

I did not realize the importance of the following until later pondering the experience of finding them; I had lifted the edges of one to look underneath. I noticed a peculiar site, blades of grass were sticking up straight into the gel. Not bent over or flattened by a fall. But as is the gel formed around them without disturbing their positions one bit. 

I have a frozen sample of the gel from discovery day, small. It was difficult to maneuver into a pill jar. 

Three weeks later the Star Jellies still exist but about 50% smaller. I picked up what was left over of the one closest to my driveway, the gell was less slippery, more sticky, and its' white center was gone. That large sample is frozen. I could not wash the gel from my hands with soap and hot water. I had to use a Terri-cloth textured towell to remove the remains from my flesh.

7/23/2016:

4 years and 3 months later,

The location remains clearly visible where both mysterious blobs had appeared (image):

A concentric ring of barren of vegetation (grass) is apparent for approximately 6-7 inches around the perimeter of the original location of its appearance four years prior.

I hypothesize about this with knowledge that the other grassy area where the other mysterious blob was left to rot, grows no grass and never has since the sighting of the 2 blobs by my mother in April of 2012, while this area in its center has since the summer of that year when the “landing” occurred and I later removed it for 2 years of study indoors and outdoors, does grow grass only where I removed the blog. This was noticed by me, but not noted anywhere in these documents, all along in these past few years while being near this location every day.

In summary, based on no grass growing, ever since, at the location of the left to rot blob of mystery, and grass immediately growing where I had removed the blob, only where the blob sat for 3 weeks, not in the concentric ring we see in the image that encircles its old location, I see that life is incapable in the soil below an area that is approx 2-3 inches in width and encircles the center location of the blob’s past location by approx 7 inches.

These blobs were released in vessels designed to withstand the friction of atmospheric falling velocity and those small vessells were designed only to protect and navigate with simplistic guidance mechanism the gelatinous blobs that contained the biologic information of his (James 1) planted memories - for validation, and contained a method of biologically taking me and possibly reading my own emotional state and concepts while the experiment continues with its purpose.

Those small encapsulating vessels were designed to immediately deteriorate upon safe landing. Their shells were possibly biologic and artificial hybrid technology that was extremely caustic in density to biologic life when left in contact for any duration of time exceeding weeks. That duration was what killed all the life in the soil where I had left Blob Number 2,” and what killed the life in the much smaller area where the shell of the vessel, which had to have been spherically shaped as if covering half a tennis ball, deteriorated into the soil around the both blobs.

So, less death in blob number 1’s soil circle because I removed that blob after about 3 weeks and total death for (at least) a 1-foot circumference of soil where blob number 2 was left to completely deteriorate.

Graphics to come: the deterioration of a decomposing material of thin construct from the more exposed to the environment top of the shape of a sphere of perfect concentricity, leaving a greater density of the remnant bonded composition of that material in the outer circumference of the circular shape from the mass from which the material had encapsulated.

May, 16, 2012: My comment on a New Zealand weblog owned by a couple who made local news with their mystery Star Jelly - that later was laboratory tested and confirmed unconfirmable/not biologic. 

An error in navigation prior in time to the landing at my home? A possibility now. 

This observation should be considered reasoning to be acknowledged as a possibility.
